Are we aligned with the power of empire or the Kingdom of God?
Are we aligned with the power of empire or the Kingdom of God?
We welcome back author and scholar Philip Goldberg who helps us celebrate Palm Sunday from a wider, inter-spiritual perspective. Phil writes, “On this Palm Sunday, we’ll celebrate the holy man of Nazareth as a mystic, yogi, and master teacher of perennial wisdom who transcends religions, denominations, cultures, and beliefs.”
On Palm Sunday we can make a pilgrimage to the inner Jerusalem of transformation, remembering that this is not a story from history. It is about current events.
As we enter the gates of Jerusalem, with Jesus on the colt, and the crowds singing Hosanna waving palm branches to the “king and conqueror,” what are our expectations and understandings of this historic Jesus, and the eternal Christ we carry within?
In a time of turmoil and uncertainty, we can choose to release fear and embrace peace, love and joy.
Like Jesus, each of us is enough to rise up and know the truth of who we are.
On the day we celebrate as Palm Sunday, Jesus rode into Jerusalem, the “city of peace”. How can we, too, ride into peace?
A wonderful metaphysical interpretation of the Palm Sunday story of Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem, and how it applies to our lives right here, right now.
