The African Well Project & Yard Sale

Dear Unity Community,

In our eagerness to support the Well in Kenya project, the Social Justice Circle put forward the plan of having a yard sale on June 24.  However, we need to postpone the sale until July 29th, due to conflicts in timing.  So please hold your belongings until closer to that date.

We need about $3,500 more in order to complete the well, and the permit applied for in Kenya by our friend, Moses, who is overseeing the project there, expires in July.  So, this is an appeal to you all to once again give what you can to help make this happen.  Your support is so appreciated!!

Please use the following link for the gofundme:

Or you can give a check directly to Peggy, made out to Peggy Kaufmann, with “well in Kenya” on subject line.

Thank you all again, for your support!

In gratitude,
Peggy Kaufmann

Our Recent Town Meeting / Building & Grounds Projects

A huge thank you to all who attended the Town Hall meeting on Sunday to hear Building and Grounds team explain the “Love Our Building” proposal.

Over the next few months we will see improvements in safety, accessibility and long-term care of our building. The members in attendance voted to approve using a portion of funds bequeathed to Unity in 2014 for the maintenance and care of our building.

To designate YOUR love offering for this project, simply note “LOVE OUR BUILDING” on your check, Venmo, Paypal, Vanco or envelope!

Update on Hospitality

Hello Friends!

I’m excited to be joining the Pride Parade right after our service this Sunday, and hope that many of my fellow “Unitics” will also participate. For those joining the parade, whether to march or to watch, we’ll have some grab and go snacks ready for you to take. Please bring your own water!!

For those not going to the parade, please enjoy socializing with each other either in Fellowship Hall or out in the sunshine. Be aware that there will be no coffee or snacks this Sunday as the focus will be on getting to the parade.

We will continue to offer Hospitality for the rest of June, and hope that you will check out the sign-up sheets on the bulletin board in the hallway. We are looking for help with set-up, clean-up, and snacks for June 18th and June 25th.

We will take a break from Hospitality for July and August, so we can all relax and enjoy the summer. We can enjoy connecting with each other after service with or without a cookie!

We plan to resume Hospitality the Sunday after Labor Day, and look forward to building a team to continue this well-loved tradition.

Warmly,
Mary Myers
