At the town of New Salem, NY-85 climbs the hill into the Helderbergs.

After you pass the sign for Thacher State Park (above) the first area on your right is Greenhouse.
Look for our Unity banner. Plenty of parking.
—The schedule—
Drumming at 9:30 am
Pete Furlong will lead our drum circle. When you park and enter the Greenhouse area, the drum area will be straight ahead past the pavilion near the chain link baseball backstop, in the shade of the trees. Bring drums and percussion. Some will be provided.
Native American prayer dance (10:15-ish)
After the drum circle, Sam House and Heather Diddel will be doing a teaching of Tslagi, a Cherokee prayer dance of balance and alignment (some will recall this wonderful offering from our 2015 retreat). It involves tai chi-like movement (which they will teach) as we send our prayers out to the universe together. They will teach the movement and we will do several rounds of the prayer dance together, in silence, as the group learns to move in unison like a flock of birds.
Morning Service at 11:00 am
Our service will take place at the Greenhouse Pavilion as we celebrate our oneness with God and her creation.
Potluck Lunch
The potluck follows our service. Please bring your own grillables, and salads and other goodies to share.
Afternoon fun
Greenhouse offers a large field with baseball and volleyball areas and horseshoes as well. A trail leads off into the woods toward the edge of the escarpment. It’s downhill to start so be prepared for a not-too-steep upward hike coming back.
