a positive path for spiritual living

Circulation Day

Unity in Albany is hosting a Circulation Day event on Saturday, June 25th on our Bradford Street lawn and sidewalk. Circulation day is an opportunity to donate the good quality items in your household that are no longer serving you, and to send them on (circulate them) to others.  The event is based on Jesus’s teaching: “As you give so will it be given unto you.”  The quality we perceive in the items we freely donate expresses our sense of the quality and value of the people who will receive these items

In the weeks prior to Circulation Day, you will be receiving more information about how you can sign up for set-up, clean-up, and offering assistance on the day of this event. We will also tell you what items will and will not be accepted. What you can do right now is to begin the process of selecting good quality items in your home that you are ready to release and circulate to those who are waiting to receive them.

This is a very heartwarming event.  Neighbors, congregants, and people who happen to walk or drive by are elated and grateful to receive useful items for free.

Items that we accept:

  • Games, toys, books
  • Jewelry
  • Young children’s clothing only  (up to size 6)
  • Cooking utensils
  • Plates, silverware
  • Electronics
  • Outdoor chairs
  • Pet Supplies
  • Sporting Goods
  • Lawn & garden tools

Items that we don’t want:

  • Food
  • Adult clothes or shoes
  • Sheets, blankets, pillows, any bedding items
  • Auto parts
  • Items that weigh more than 30 pounds
  • Items too big to fit in the trunk of a car
