a positive path for spiritual living

Church in the Park 2025

We have once again reserved the Paint Mine Pavilion area at John Boyd Thacher Park for our annual Sunday in the park with God!

The Paint Mine area at the park, which we have made use of in recent years, is the first area on your left after you pass the Overlook area when coming from the south, or New Scotland/New Salem, direction. Parking is $6, and there is ample parking at this lovely, accessible site.

POTLUCK LUNCH

Please bring a dish to share. We will not provide grilling, though individuals are welcome to do that on their own using the grills provided by the park and their own briquettes, etc.

We will provide paper plates, cups, cutlery, a cooler of ice and a large, refillable water urn. In order to be good stewards of this beautiful park, we will not provide disposable water bottles. Please bring a refillable one! Thacher Park is “carry in, carry out” and while we will have large trash bags, we are trying to be mindful of how much waste we generate.

PARKING

parking fee of $6 applies to all vehicles. There is a kiosk onsite to take your credit card.
