…said the 19th century philosopher Arthur Schopenhauer. Like him, millions in the West have found illumination, inspiration, and spiritual transformation in those revolutionary ancient texts. You will too, in this workshop with Philip Goldberg on Sunday, June 22.

In his welcome return to Unity, Phil will take us on a deep dive into the central teachings of the Upanishads, which provide the foundation for Yoga, Vedanta, and all the spiritual treasures that India gave the world. The texts are chock full of mahavakyas—great utterances—with the power to expand our minds and open our souls to grace. Phil will select key passages from some of the principle Upanishads and lead us in a contemplative reflection on their meaning and purpose—which is not just to inform us but to awaken us to our own true nature and help us forge an intimate connection to the Divine. The Upanishads point us beyond duality, beyond suffering, beyond limitation, to stillness, peace, and Oneness—and that has to be experienced, not just thought about, so the workshop will also feature meditative practice.

The Upanishads are very, very old, but exploring them is neither history nor archeology. It’s a portal into the eternal Now and a bridge to a more fulfilling future.
