The month of May has long been a time when the Unity movement studies The Power of Power/Dominion/Mastery. On May 16 and 23, Unity in Albany will be focusing its 11:00 am Sunday services on this spiritual teaching. Rev. Jackie Hawkins will be the guest speaker on both Sundays. The title of her talks will be “Using the Power of Your Word” and “Using the Power of Spiritual Understanding.” Rev. Jackie began her Unity journey at Unity in Albany in the mid-80’s, and was inspired to be ordained as a Unity minister. We are delighted to have her back as a guest speaker in our virtual environment.

Rev. Jackie Hawkins is an ordained Unity minister, and has served Unity in many capacities.  Currently, she serves on Unity Worldwide Ministries’ Credentialing Team and the Leadership Recruitment and Development Team. Rev. Jackie has served as senior minister of Unity of the Heartland in Olathe, Kansas, and now makes San Marcos, California her home.  Prior to becoming an ordained Unity minister, Rev. Jackie had a long career in New York State government in human resources management and administration.  She earned a Master’s of Divinity from Unity Institute and Seminary, a Master’s degree in Public Policy from the State University of New York at Albany (Albany, New York) and a Bachelor’s of Science degree from Western Michigan University (Kalamazoo, Michigan); and attended Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia.
